Lee Kaplan is an orthopedic surgeon and tenured Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Biomedical Engineering and Kinesiology/Sport Science. Dr. Kaplan serves as Medical Director and Head Team Physician for a Division I University and Medical Director for a Major League Baseball team. Dr. Kaplan founded SirenMD to solve a problem he experienced firsthand: inefficient and unsecure communication between caregivers. His extensive clinical experience has been invaluable in building and developing this intuitive, powerful, and flexible platform. Dr. Kaplan earned a medical degree from George Washington University and an undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University.
Andrew Willert has worked in consulting and healthcare administration at the University of Miami Health System and Cleveland Clinic. His background and passions include leadership, technology, finance, and healthcare. Andrew received his MBA and BBA from the University of Miami, making him a Double Cane.
Louis Hyman has over 20+ years of experience in the healthcare technology market. Louis recently served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of SigmaCare, Ehealth Solutions, CTO of Ramp Corporation, and as Vice President at WebMD. Louis received a BS in Computer Science from St. John’s University.
Richard Boxer is the Managing Partner of Boxer Health Strategies. He is a professor of urology and visiting scholar in the Business of Science Center at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Boxer currently serves as Chief Telehealth Officer of Pager, Chief Medical Officer of WellVia, and previously served as the Chief Medical Officer at Teladoc, the nation’s largest telemedicine company. A two-time Surgeon General Finalist, Dr. Boxer received a medical degree and a BA with honors from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI.
Brent Saiontz has been a partner at Red Wizard Group, a holding company that invests in, founds, and manages companies across a variety of industries. Prior to Red Wizard Group, Brent worked at H.I.G. Capital in the Leveraged Buyout Group and Deutsche Bank Securities in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Brent received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Harvard University.
Greg Smith is Founder and SVP of Strategic Initiatives at PIVOT Physical Therapy. He also served as the Head Athletic Trainer of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League, a position he held for the eighteen seasons (retired in 2017), and a strength and condition consultant with various NHL and National Basketball Association (NBA) athletes. Greg joined the Caps in 1999 from the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim where he was the Head Athletic Trainer for two seasons. He also served as trainer for Team USA at the 1998 World Hockey Championships and the American Hockey League’s Baltimore Bandits. A native of Bowie, Maryland, Greg received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Special Education from Salisbury State University. He holds a Master’s degree in Athletic Training and a Physical Therapy Assistant degree, both from the California University of Pennsylvania. He has an additional Master’s degree in Sports Science from the International Sports Science Association.
